The fast ones are going slow
After completing 15 overs, Gaikwad introduced the fast bowlers who relied heavily on cutters. Deshpande managed to get Rinku Singh out by chopping one back onto his stumps before Mustafizur Rahman took over. Despite his long run-up, Rahman bowled slower cutters that would have made any slow left-arm orthodox spinner proud.
He bowled an excellent final over, taking two wickets for just two runs. Deshpande finished with figures of 3 for 33 off his four overs, while Mustafizur picked up 2 for 22, making him the highest wicket-taker in the competition. The duo delivered 16 cutters out of the 24 balls in the last four overs, leaving KKR clueless.
