Nepal's top order fell apart to open up the game

In Dillon Heyliger's absence, Harsh Thaker opened the bowling with Bhagwan. The team knew that early wickets were crucial to put pressure on Nepal. However, Anil Sah started aggressively and scored 37 runs in the first three overs without losing a wicket.

Canada had a close call when Aasif Sheikh was hit by a direct cover from Harsh Thaker. However, it did not cost them much as Sheikh was only on seven runs off 12 balls at the time and was dismissed for 10 off 16.

Srimantha Wijeyeratne took a sharp catch at point off Ishwarjit Sohi's bowling to break an opening stand of 55 from just 4.5 overs.

Sah brought up his 50 off just 19 balls with a six to show his exceptional batting ability, but was unfortunately dismissed off the next ball by Sohi. Despite this setback, Canada remained in the contest with a score of 64/2.
