Mustafizur will be available for CSK until May 1

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted a one-day extension to Mustafizur Rahman's NOC for Chennai Super Kings. This means that instead of returning to Bangladesh on April 30, he will now be available for the team's match against Punjab Kings on May 1.

Mustafizur will also be available for CSK's upcoming matches against Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 and 23, and Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 28.

He will be available for Bangladesh's home T20I series against Zimbabwe from May 3 to 12, and later for the T20I series against the USA in Texas from May 21.

In five matches, Mustafizur has taken ten wickets at an average of 18.30, including his first four-wicket haul in the competition. This is his best performance in the IPL since the 2021 season when he played for the Rajasthan Royals. Last week, he was in Dhaka to complete US visa formalities for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The left-arm quick's wickets have come at a crucial time, as he had lost his place in the Bangladesh ODI side after taking only two wickets in the T20I series against Sri Lanka.

However, Mustafizur remains Bangladesh's most successful T20I bowler and has a confirmed place in the T20 World Cup squad.
