Impressive chase on the 2nd match leads to Nepal's ODI series win over Canada

Nepal chased down Canada's total of 285 with four wickets to spare and 29 balls to spare. They won the three-match ODI series with one match to spare.

Canada made one change to the side that lost the previous match, with Dilpreet Bajwa replacing Dillon Heyliger. They won the toss and elected to bat first in favourable batting conditions. Canada's top order put the team on track for a score of 300 or more, but unfortunately, they were unable to capitalise on their strong performance. This demonstrates the team's ability to perform under pressure.

The middle order, led by captain Rohit Paudel, successfully completed the chase despite Nepal's opener Anil Sah scoring a rapid 50 off 20 balls to put Canada under pressure.

Paudel earned the Player of the Match award once again, boasting impressive figures of 2-for-32 in eight overs, in addition to his sumptuous score of 87. The final match of the series is scheduled for Sunday at 10:30 p.m. EST.

Captain Saad Bin Zafar stated that winning is always the goal when we step onto the field. Looking ahead to the final match of the series, he confidently added that even though the team has lost the series, they still aim to win the last game and finish on a high note.

Playing XI:

Aaron Johnson, Navneet Dhaliwal, Pargat Singh, Nicholas Kirton, Harsh Thaker, Dilpreet Bajwa, Shreyas Movva, Saad Bin Zafar, Shahid Ahmadzai, Uday Bhagwan.
