Dilon Heyliger achieves significant breakthroughs
pproaching the 40th over, Scotland would have aimed for a score of 250 or more, with wicket-keeper Matthew Cross and Michael Leask building a strong 50-run partnership.
But in the 40th over, Dilon Heyliger broke the crucial stand when he induced Cross to pull straight to Kirton at fine leg. Heyliger later dismissed Leask as well with a tame push to cover, leaving Scotland at 187/6 in the 46th over and well short of an intimidating total.
Canada's bowling attack had a well-balanced look with three seamers and three spinners. Captain Bin Zafar would have been pleased with the range of options available based on the batters at the crease and the match situation.
