GT20 Canada Season 4 Exclusively on Star Sports for Indian Fans
Indian cricket enthusiasts can catch all the action of the upcoming GT20 Canada exclusively on Star Sports. The fourth season of North America's leading T20 league kicks off on July 25 with a thrilling match between the Vancouver Knights and the Toronto Nationals, featuring Pakistan stars Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
The league's group stage runs from July 25 to August 6, with each of the six teams playing seven matches. The playoffs begin on August 9, leading up to the final on August 11. Fans can purchase tickets on the official GT20 Canada website.
Gurmeet Singh Bhamrah of Bombay Sports pinpointed the importance of this collaboration, noting that India's cricket-focused audience and Star Sports' reputation as the home of cricket will bring world-class cricket entertainment to viewers across India. After the inaugural match, the tournament will feature double-headers on the next 10 league match-days. The 21 league games will be spread over 13 days, including two rest days, followed by four playoff matches.
The double-header excitement kicks off with the Bangla Tigers Mississauga, featuring Shakib Al Hasan, taking on the 2023 champions Montreal Tigers, led by Chris Lynn. Later, the Brampton Wolves, with David Warner, will face the Surrey Jaguars, featuring Marcus Stoinis, on July 26.
Star Sports, renowned for its comprehensive cricket coverage, broadcasts major events like the ICC T20 World Cup, Indian Premier League, and Big Bash League. The first league matches will start at 8:30 PM IST (11:00 AM local time) in Brampton, Ontario, with the second match at 1:30 AM IST (4:00 PM local time). GT20 Canada aims to boost cricket's popularity and foster a strong cricketing community in Canada and North America. Established on the global cricket calendar, the league provides a stage for both local and international talent.
