Expectations Rise for Jaiswal's Test Career Achievements

According to reports, Yashasvi Jaiswal recently scored his fourth Test century during the first match between India and Australia at Optus Stadium in Perth. Following this impressive performance, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell expressed admiration for Jaiswal's skills and suggested that the young player could potentially amass over 40 centuries by the end of his Test career.

In the second innings of the match, Jaiswal demonstrated resilience and adaptability against a formidable Australian bowling attack, ultimately scoring a remarkable 161 runs off 297 deliveries. He combined caution and aggression effectively, hitting 15 fours and three sixes, which contributed to setting Australia a daunting target of 534 runs. The Indian team, led by Jasprit Bumrah, bowled Australia out for 238, securing a victory by 295 runs.

Maxwell conveyed that Jaiswal's ability to adjust to various match conditions marks him as a dangerous player for Australia in upcoming fixtures. He also commended Jaiswal’s impressive footwork and noted that the batter displays minimal weaknesses in his game.

Additionally, it was highlighted that Jaiswal has accumulated 1568 runs in 15 Test matches, boasting an exceptional average of 58.07, including four centuries and eight fifties. As the Border-Gavaskar Trophy progresses, Jaiswal aims to build on his success and contribute to India’s quest for a third World Test Championship final berth.
