Canada concludes Nepal ODI series with a significant loss

Canada was unable to finish the series on a high note as Nepal won the final match by nine wickets, resulting in a 3-0 series victory for the hosts. This result provides Canada with an opportunity to learn and improve for future matches.

Canada's batting performance was lacklustre, only managing to score 232/8 in 50 overs after being put into bat by Nepal. Nepal's opening batsman Anil Sah and No. 3 batter Bhim Sharki both scored centuries to chase down the target. The duo formed an unbeaten partnership of 189 runs for the second wicket, leaving Canada's bowlers with no reason to celebrate.

Captain Saad Bin Zafar expressed disappointment, stating that Nepal outplayed them in all aspects. Although the wicket was slow at the start, Zafar believed that 230 runs were below par. He also mentioned that the team struggled with strike rotation and that one of the top five batsmen needed to score big, which they lacked today. We also struggled with the fast bowling department and leaked too many runs up top.

Despite the significant defeat, Canada can take some positives from the cricket they showcased throughout the series. They will look to rebound quickly with some big matches to come.
