Brampton: North America's Premier Cricket Hub to Host Third GT20 Canada Season

Brampton is gearing up to host its third consecutive season of GT20 Canada this month, solidifying its reputation as the top cricketing destination in North America. Set to begin on July 25, 2024, the marquee T20 cricket league has found a home in Brampton since its second edition in 2019, according to Global T20 Canada.

Modelled after its English counterpart, Brampton, the ninth most populous city in Canada, aims to boost the local economy and foster community engagement through GT20. This inclusive cricket celebration strives to make everyone feel part of the excitement.

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown’s enthusiastic support has been instrumental in integrating GT20 Canada into the city’s ecosystem. This support has driven infrastructure development, allowing local talent to connect with international cricket stars.

Gurmeet Singh Bhamrah, Founder of GT20 Canada, accentuated the strong bond between the league and Brampton, stating, “Our relationship with Brampton has grown significantly with each season. Brampton has proven to be an ideal home for cricket in Canada. With global superstars joining, we expect to attract fans from all over North America. Brampton has ambitious plans, including launching two more cricket fields and a Youth Cricket League this year. The city also aims to build an international-standard cricket stadium to nurture home-grown talent and elevate the sport.
