Although Buttler played well, Narine was the game's MVP due to his exceptional performance, despite receiving less support from his teammates. Although he is known for his powerplay aggression, he allowed Phil Salt and Angkrish Raghuvanshi to take the lead early on before excelling in the middle overs against the spinners. He hit R Aswhin for two sixes and Yuzvendra Chahal for three, causing both bowlers to concede more than 12 runs per over.
However, it was Narine's fours that truly powered his innings. He hit 13 of his shots, with only four of them being on the leg side.
Narine was impressive during the middle overs and also accelerated towards the end of the innings, scoring 35 runs off the last 14 balls he faced. Most impressively, he quickly moved from 79 to KKR's third IPL hundred in just one over from Chahal, hitting two sixes and two fours.
Rinku Singh provided a strong finish to the KKR innings. However, Narine's most significant contribution was the 85-run second-wicket partnership with Raghuvanshi. Despite Raghuvanshi only contributing 30 runs, Narine's early dominance set the tone for the partnership.
