In a major milestone in the history of Canadian cricket, Cricket Canada and TD Bank Group (TD) have announced a new sponsorship.
TD is now supporting the growth and development of cricket locally, bringing together two well-known organizations committed to the future growth of cricket and supporting new community engagement initiatives.
TD will be the official bank of Cricket Canada’s National Teams through this sponsorship. The partnership will help Cricket Canada improve access to National Teams and players for young fans and enthusiasts, as well as enhance grassroots development programs to build Canada's vibrant cricket-loving community.
As part of the new sponsorship, TD will be prominently featured on the official uniforms and training gear of Canada's national teams. This will include new bespoke kits designed for the first appearance of the Men's National Team at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2024 in June. TD will also be the official sponsor of Cricket Canada's women's national team in 2025.
The agreement also extends beyond the cricket pitch. This TD sponsorship will support Cricket Canada's programs aimed at enhancing the sport's accessibility, popularity, and engagement with players and fans across the country.
TD shares Cricket Canada's vision of empowering communities and fostering inclusivity through sports. This sponsorship highlights TD's commitment to supporting diverse communities and creating meaningful connections with Canadians from coast to coast.
The 2024 cricket calendar is a significant year for Cricket Canada, as the Men's National Team will participate in various global events. The highlight of the year will be Canada's debut at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, with matches taking place in Dallas, New York, and Florida. The year concludes with scheduled matches against The Netherlands, USA, Oman, and Nepal in August and September.
