Just as Aayan Afzal Khan seemed to be turning the momentum back in favour of the UAE with an inspired 38 off 49 balls, Kaleem Sana finished off in style.
As UAE spiralled from 182/6 in 45.4 overs to 194 all out, Sana took three of the last four wickets. His ability as a left-arm pace bowler to move around the wicket and leave batsmen space was on full display in this match and was instrumental in setting a very manageable target for the Canadian batting line-up. Sana's ball to No. 3 batter Alishan Sharafu was an absolute gem. It angled in from around the wicket, only to move away off the seam and knock the top of the off stump.
Those figures of 4 for 42 from 8.5 overs, including a maiden, bode well for Canada going forward.
