This notice contains the full nomination process for Cricket Canada. The next Annual General Meeting will be held at The Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel 901 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario M9W 1J5 on the 13th and 14th of April 2024.
The following is a brief description of the nomination and election process. For more information, please refer to the Cricket Canada Bylaws, which are available on the Cricket Canada website.
a) Current positions up for election:
1. President
2. Secretary
3. Two (2) Directors-at-Large
b) Eligibility of Directors
The following persons are eligible to be nominated to be elected or appointed as a Director:
Any person who is eighteen (18) years of age or older, who is a resident of Canada as defined in the Income Tax Act, who has legal capacity, who has not been declared incapacitated by a court in Canada or in any other country, and who is not bankrupt.
c) Nomination
Any nomination of an individual for election as a director shall:
1. Include the written consent of the nominee, signed or electronically signed.
2. A signed undertaking that the individual meets the eligibility requirements as set out in the nomination form.
3. Include a resume/CV; in chronological or functional format (preferred but optional).
4. Indicate the position for which the individual is being nominated.
5. Nominees must be at least eighteen years of age.
6. Be submitted by email (ccnominations@cricketcanada.org) no later than five (5) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.
7. All invalid/incomplete nominations will be struck off the list at that time without further notice.
d) Nominations from the floor - No nominations will be accepted from the floor.
e) Circulation of Nominations -
Valid nominations shall be circulated by the Nominations Committee to the Voting Members at the Annual General Meeting prior to the elections. Valid nominations will be posted on the Cricket Canada website and Facebook prior to the AGM.
