Andre Russell will sit out the rest of the T20I series against England due to a left ankle injury, with Shamar Springer stepping in as his replacement. Meanwhile, Alzarri Joseph is set to rejoin the West Indies squad after serving a two-match suspension, replacing Shamar Joseph.
Alzarri’s suspension followed an incident during the third ODI against England, where he exited the field in frustration over field placements set by captain Shai Hope, briefly leaving his team with just 10 players. He later issued a public apology and made amends with Hope, paving the way for his return.
Trailing 2-0 in the five-match series after defeats in Barbados, the West Indies are in a must-win situation for the remaining games. The third T20I is scheduled for November 14 in St. Lucia, which will also host the final two matches on November 16 and 17.
West Indies T20I Squad: Rovman Powell (captain), Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Springer.
With key changes in the lineup, the West Indies will aim to revive their campaign and keep the series alive.
