Rohit Sharma`s new record

Rohit Sharma has etched his name in cricket history once again by becoming the first player ever to achieve the remarkable feat of hitting 600 sixes in international cricket. This extraordinary milestone, attained during India's T20 World Cup 2024 opener against Ireland, solidifies Rohit's status as a true batting maestro. Surpassing his world record, Rohit's feat cements his position as one of the most formidable hitters in the game.

Not only did Rohit rewrite the record books with his batting prowess, but he also surpassed the legendary MS Dhoni to become India's most successful captain in T20Is. With an impressive tally of 42 wins in 55 T20Is, Rohit's leadership has propelled India to new heights in the shortest format of the game. His remarkable win percentage of 77.29% outshines even Dhoni's illustrious captaincy record.

In the international arena, Rohit stands tall among the likes of Eoin Morgan and Asghar Afghan, sharing the second spot in terms of T20I victories. His stellar performance against Ireland, where he contributed 52 runs from just 37 balls, further underlined his prowess with the bat. Despite an injury forcing him to retire early, Rohit's impact on the game was undeniable.

Adding to his accolades, Rohit also became only the second player after Virat Kohli to surpass 4000 runs across all three formats of the game. His stellar display in the T20 World Cup 2024 opener saw him breach the 4000-run mark in T20Is, further solidifying his stature as a modern-day cricketing icon. Currently, Rohit stands as a beacon of consistency with 4026 runs in T20Is, alongside a staggering record of 4137 runs in Tests and 10,709 runs in ODIs.

In the same match, Rohit also notched up 1000 runs in the T20 World Cup, further cementing his legacy in the prestigious tournament. With a total of 1015 runs in 40 matches, Rohit's contributions in the T20 World Cups have been instrumental in India's campaigns over the years. His remarkable achievements underscore his unwavering commitment and unmatched skill, making him a true cricketing legend for generations to come.
