Record-Low T20I Match

Singapore cruised to an easy victory over Mongolia, who were bowled out for a mere 10 runs in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier A in Bangi. This total equalled the lowest-ever score in men's T20I history, matching the Isle of Man's collapse against Spain last year.

Singapore chased the modest target of 11 in just five balls, despite losing a wicket on the very first delivery. This win marked their second victory in the tournament, while Mongolia remained winless, sitting at the bottom of the standings with four defeats.

Harsha Bharadwaj, a 17-year-old leg-spinner, delivered a match-winning performance for Singapore, taking 6 wickets for just 3 runs in his four-over spell. His impressive figures now stand as the second-best in men's T20I history. Bharadwaj's impact was immediate, taking two wickets in the first over and claiming five of the six Mongolian wickets that fell during the powerplay. Mongolia’s batting lineup struggled, with five players failing to score.

Mongolia's innings lasted ten overs, featuring three maiden overs. Their longest partnerships came for the fourth and last wickets, each surviving 11 balls. During the chase, Raoul Sharma hit a six with his first shot, while William Simpson finished off the match with a four on the penultimate ball of the opening over, sealing Singapore's dominant nine-wicket win with 115 balls to spare.
