Paul Tweddle will serve as the interim head coach for Somerset’s One-Day Cup team for the third consecutive summer.
Tweddle, who is also an assistant coach and fielding coach at Somerset, will take over from Jason Kerr, who will be occupied with commitments in the Hundred tournament.
Somerset's 50-over cup journey starts against Kent on Friday, July 26.
Having won the competition in 2019, Somerset struggled last season, finishing seventh in their group and missing out on the knockout stages.
Tweddle mentioned that this year's squad would benefit from their experiences over the past 12 months, as well as their previous exposure to the One-Day Cup. He accentuated that their success this year would be multifaceted.
He stated that their goal is to perform as well as possible while continuing to provide players with valuable experience in the first XI arena.
