Mohammad Amir, currently in remarkable form, continued to impress in the Global T20 League Canada 2024. The 32-year-old delivered an outstanding performance for the Vancouver Knights against the Montreal Tigers in Match 6, held in Brampton. Amir's figures of 4-1-11-2 included a spell where he was particularly lethal with the new ball.
Amir skilfully dismissed Ashton Agar and then faced Chris Lynn and Tim Seifert, two top T20 players, leaving them baffled with his exceptional bowling. One delivery, in particular, was so unplayable it was described as a 'Spitting Cobra'. Earlier in the tournament, Amir had also shone in his first match, but his efforts were not enough to secure a win, as the Tigers restricted the Knights to 134/6 in response to their 144/7.
The Montreal Tigers currently lead the points table with two wins from two matches, while the Vancouver Knights find themselves at the bottom, having lost all three of their games.
