Welsh Fire achieved their highest-ever chase in the Hundred Women's competition, handing Meg Lanning's London Spirit their first defeat of the season at Lord's with a six-wicket victory.
West Indies star Hayley Matthews stole the spotlight with an unbeaten 78 off 46 balls, her highest score in the competition, as Welsh Fire chased down Spirit's 5-150 with five balls to spare.
Former Spirit bowler Freya Davies took 2-19, including key wickets of Lanning and Heather Knight. The home side's total was bolstered by powerful late hitting from Danni Gibson and Deepti Sharma. Lanning, picked third in March's draft, looked promising with 31 from 20 balls before being bowled by Davies.
Matthews proved decisive, hitting 11 fours and two sixes in her match-defining innings, despite being dropped on the boundary when she was on 36. Meanwhile, Manchester Originals opener Beth Mooney lost her duel with fellow Australian Lauren Cheatle, but her team triumphed over Southern Brave in Southampton.
Mooney was dismissed for just two, edging Cheatle behind after stepping down the wicket. Brave had set a total of 5-136, but Originals clinched victory with six wickets and two balls to spare, thanks largely to South African Laura Wolvaardt's unbeaten 78.
In the men's competition, Nathan Ellis took three wickets, including Jonny Bairstow for just two, as London Spirit's men's team secured their first win in the Hundred against Welsh Fire.
Fire were restricted to 9-94, with Australian Dan Worrall setting the tone with 10 consecutive dot balls to start his spell. Spirit reached the target with 13 balls and three wickets to spare, led by Shimron Hetmyer's unbeaten 30 off 21 balls.
