In Match 11 of the Global T20 Canada 2024, the Brampton Wolves secured a 6-wicket victory over the Vancouver Knights, who remain winless in the tournament. Meanwhile, defending champions Montreal Tigers continue their impressive form with three wins from three matches.
Despite a lacklustre bowling performance in their previous game, which led to their second loss of the season, the Wolves managed to bounce back. Andrew Tye struggled once again, conceding 36 runs in his final two overs. However, Beau Webster and Nick Hobson's strong partnership ensured the Wolves' victory with 11 balls to spare.
"It was crucial to win after two losses," Webster remarked after being named Player of the Match. "The strategy was straightforward: bowl in tight areas, which earned me wickets in the middle overs. I found good timing with the bat and was able to capitalise, helping the team secure the win."
