Four overs of madness aside, Royal Challengers Bengaluru played a near-perfect game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to roll over Gujarat Titans for the second time in a week.
RCB dominated the first 26 overs on the back of their seam bowling and a blistering opening stand between Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. But a middle-order collapse - in which GT took six wickets for just 25 runs - briefly put them on the back foot. However, Dinesh Karthik (21*) and Swapnil Singh (15*) hit back to complete a four-wicket win.
RCB's 38-ball win also moved them from tenth to seventh on the points table. They are level on eight points with ninth-placed GT, with both sides having slim chances of making the play-offs.
