Despite Nepal's middle-order resistance, Bin Zafar and Ahmadzai stood out

However, Canada's fate was all but sealed when Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel and Dev Khanal put on 150 runs in 27.2 overs for the third wicket. Thaker broke the partnership with a fine catch off his own bowling from around the wicket. He dived low to his right to send Khanal back for 76 off 81.

Following Sah's onslaught, Paudel and Khanal were fully aware of the favourable run rate. They demonstrated great respect towards their biggest threats, Canada captain Saad Bin Zafar and Shahid Ahmadzai while taking on the rest of the bowlers. The pair finished with combined figures of 20-4-70-1, which were excellent when defending a total of 285. Nevertheless, they could have aimed to take a few more wickets.

Bhagwan and Thaker's figures of 14.1-0-133-2 unfortunately did not meet expectations.

Despite Nepal losing three wickets for 14 runs and appearing a bit wobbly at 267/6, the run rate was so well in hand that there just wasn’t enough pressure on the new batters.

Bin Zafar stated after the match that the team gave plans to the bowlers, but they could not execute them. There were a lot of bad balls bowled.'  The team's performance is a clear indication of their talent and potential. Despite the relatively inexperienced bowling attack and injuries to two senior players, there are many positives to take from their performance. This series is a valuable learning experience for the team, and with more games like these, they will continue to improve and reach their full potential.

Playing in pressure situations will make Canada better and they will come back stronger.
