Chepauk silenced by Stoinis

Pooran holed out to long-off off Pathirana with LSG needing 53 off 22 balls. Once again it was up to Stoinis. In the 18th over, he hit Pathirana for a four before pulling Mustafizur for a six. Two balls later, he brought up his hundred.

With 32 required from two overs, Stoinis and Hooda hit three boundaries off Pathirana in the first four balls. They needed 17 from six balls.

Stoinis drove Mustafizur's first delivery over long-on before driving the next straight back for four. Luck was with him too as the next one sailed past short third for another boundary. It turned out that Mustafizur had also overstepped, reducing the equation to two needed from four balls. Stoinis then moved across and pulled a short delivery over backward square leg to complete the job.

At the toss, Rahul had said it would not be easy to silence Chepauk. By the end of the day, LSG had done just that.
